RNPs delivery

Ribonucleoprotein (RNP) delivery is a genome engineering approach in which pre-assembled CRISPR-Cas9 complexes are directly introduced into cells to generate targeted gene knockout (KO).

Following delivery, the RNP complex creates a site-specific DNA break that is repaired by the cell, often resulting in disruption of the target gene. Because the editing machinery is delivered as a pre-formed complex and rapidly degraded after use, RNP delivery provides a transient “hit-and-run” editing profile with reduced risk of off-target effects. As no DNA integration is required, RNP-mediated gene knockout has become a powerful tool for functional genomics, disease modeling, target validation, and cell engineering.

High Editing Efficiency with LumiPore® Photoporation

Coupled with LumiPore photoporation, researchers can efficiently deliver CRISPR-Cas9 RNPs into sensitive and hard-to-transfect cell types while maintaining high cell viability and functionality, enabling the generation of high-quality edited cells.
